If you are looking for a condo for rent Orlando, FL area you are making is a wise budgetary move. Renting a condo instead of a hotel room comes with a host of benefits. Yet, many people are not completely sold on the idea of booking a condo as opposed to hotel accommodations. Now, why is this?

When people plan a vacation, many sometimes fall into the tap of perpetual traditional thinking. In other words, if a vacationer is used to booking hotel rooms when going on a vacation the person will probably stick with what he is used to. There may be, however, consequences to this type of thinking. For example, renting a hotel room for a month could cost $3,000. ($100 a night for 30 days) Renting a condo in the same vicinity could cost $1,000 a month which is $2,000 less. Needless to say, $2,000 is a huge difference!

It is important to examine the various ways one can save significant money on lodging. After all, if you are paying exorbitant monthly fees for a vacation rental your money is just not being put to its best use. In other words, spending significant money on lodging when such expenditures are not necessary comes with tremendous opportunity costs. If the bulk of your vacation budget is going to costs associated with lodging then you have little money left over to do other things. Needless to say, this would not exactly make for a fun vacation! That is why it is always critical to not overspend in one area when making vacation plans.

That is why it is always important to shop around for the best deals you can find. If these deals involve departing from the traditional structure of your vacation then so be it. You want to have the best vacation possible and not necessarily a carbon copy of previous ones. Varying your accommodations may be the best fit step to take in this regard.

There are hundreds of home owners around Walt Disney World in Orlando who let out their homes to families wanting to spend a weekend or a longer period. The great thing about these vacation homes is that they are like ‘real’ homes. They are not like hotel rooms that offer a “sterile” environment, where there is no privacy or peace once you step out of your room.

Instead Disney vacation homes offer spacious bedrooms, private and family bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, family and dining rooms, and amenities like cable TV, DVD/VCR players, eating and cooking utensils, dishwasher, washer/dryer etc.

Many Disney vacation homes even have a private, enclosed swimming pool. This adds great value to your vacation because you can shake off the heat and dust after a visit to the Disney Park by splashing around in the pool with your family.

Another bonus is the size of vacation homes. You can chose a vacation home based on your needs. You can go for a two-bedroom home if you have a small family or you can rent a seven-room home that can sleep 16. You also have the option to rent a home that has two Master Suites. This is especially useful if you have planned your holiday with another family.

An extra bonus is the cost. The vacation homes work out cheaper than hotel rooms. The savings can be substantial for large families that need two or more than two hotel rooms. You also save on food expenses. Every meal you cook in the vacation home will be cheaper than the cost of a similar meal in a hotel. Also, you can use the washer to wash your clothes. This is especially useful for working women who don’t have to worry about bagfuls of dirty laundry when they return home from a vacation.

The cost of the vacation homes, besides space and amenities, also depends upon their location. The closest home would be around 2 miles from the Disney Park while the distant ones would be about 15 miles. You need to factor the driving time when selecting a vacation home.

However, to get the best deal you need to plan your trip to Disney World in advance. As far as possible you must avoid going to Disney World during the busy season. The best months – from the price point of view — are January, February, September, October, early November and early December. The costs go up in late April, May, and August. The remaining months are the most expensive.

You should also try to rent a vacation home directly from the owner instead of going through a travel agent or a management company. This way you will strike a better deal. The owner may pass you the share that would normally go to the travel agent bringing your rental costs down considerably.

Today, it is not difficult to interact directly with the owners. Most owners have their own websites. Several also put up their vacation properties on eBay. All that you need to do is to search the net, and find the right vacation home for yourself.

You will find staying in a vacation home far more fun, and economical, than staying in a hotel.

According to OAGback Aviation Solutions, plane tickets are about to get a lot more expensive. So the best bet is to lock them down, even for say Labor Day travel. The cause for the increase include the cost cut plans by American & United Airline. And since travel to Orlando is mostly for leisure instead of business, customers aren’t willing to pay extra. Airlines are cutting flights to the area. This coupled with the high gas prices doesn’t make the trip to your Orlando Vacation Home Rental any easier.

One side note is that last year visitors to Orlando increased by 2% to ~48.7 million visitors. This is still lower than the peak reached in 2005.

If you do get there, be sure to visit some beautiful beaches.

Yes, hotels will get somewhat of an unexpected beating when they are compared against an Orlando vacation rental. Now, this is not because hotels are inherently negative. In fact, there are a number of excellent hotels in the Orlando area. There are, however, a number of individuals who are looking for a place to stay during a trip to Orlando that are completely unaware of some of the amazing benefits that a home rental can offer. When these benefits are pointed out to them their eyebrows may raise in a surprised manner at all the super benefits that a rental home offers.

For example, have you ever noticed how so many hotels and motels are packed in a sort of “hotel row” in sections of the city? There are a number of reasons for this and many of them are tied to zoning laws and the need to place a hotel in the proximity of all the attractions. With a rental home, however, there are really no geographic limits. In other words, there are is really no limit to where you can reside when you rent a home but when it comes to hotel rentals you will be inherently limited to specific areas.

Now, some may say that this is actually an argument for sticking with a hotel mainly because a hotel will be in close proximity to all those hotspots. Well, this is true but how close do you really need to be? If there much of a difference between a ten minute drive and a 35 minute drive and does the tradeoff of an extra 25 minute drive for a much more quiet residence to sleep in make it worthwhile. The answer to this is eventually up to the renter but for those who feel the tradeoff is worth it renting a home is a better choice.

It has been pointed out in a few recent new reports that the volume of pet owners has risen significantly in the past few years. There is great reason for this: pets are a lot of fun and they provide us with a tremendous amount of love, companionship and support. So, it should come as no surprise that people wish to bring their pets along with them on vacation. For many pet owners this is a factor in selecting an Orlando vacation home rental as opposed to selecting a hotel. After all, there are not all that many hotels that are pet friendly out there.

Granted, there are a number of hotels that can accommodate pets but are they really the right environment for a pet? A hotel room is not exactly a large environment and it is not exactly spacious enough to handle a St. Bernard. Then again, even a cat could prove difficult to accommodate as well. And what can you do if the noise the pet makes brings about complaints from the person next door? And, worst of all, can you be sure to safeguard your pet from running out the door? As anyone can see a hotel environment may not be the best one for a pet at all.

So, if you wish to bring a pet along with you on your vacation it is a pretty wise idea to look into renting a home. Of course, it is also important to double check that the home you are renting allows pets. Do not assume that because it is a home it is YOUR home to do with it whatever you please. The ultimate authority on whether or not the rental can have a pet is up to the landlord so always double check in advance and do not automatically assume what the rules are.

Yes, vacation time is finally here and that means the ability to enjoy a little relaxing time in the comfort of your cool Orlando vacation rental home is upon you. It has been a long wait throughout the year and now that it is upon you the finish line has been reached. So, looks like there are no more cares in the world to have to worry about. Or is there? What would happen if a medical emergency arose? Ok, before you start shaking your head and assuming that this is a worrisome call to arms keep in mind that there are issues that people must take into consideration; Well, they should take them into consideration at least peripherally when it comes to problems that may arise. After all, if you do not take at least a few moments to ponder some potential problems you will have not pondered the issues that may surround resolving these issues.

For example, what happens if a medical emergency leads you to cancel your trip half way through? Will a partial refund be issued or will you be required to pay for the entire amount of the rental? Of course, the answer to this will be found in the terms of the rental agreement and if they are not specified in the rental agreement then there needs to be some questioning regarding the clarification of the points within it.

Sickness emergencies are not the only point of contention. In fact, the multitude of questions that can arise can cover a number of other unforeseen problems. For example, what it accidental damage occurs to the property? Would the renter be required to cover it out of pocket or would the renter’s insurance cover it? Again, if you are unfamiliar as to the terms of the lease in this regard (or on any issue) then you need to clarify it or else the problems that can result will be unexpected and unwelcome.

Orlando vacation rentals are sincerely wonderful places to stay on a vacation and this should come as no surprise. After all, Orlando is one of the absolute best vacation destinations in the world and it should come as no surprise that people look for top of the line rental properties. However, what must be understood is that just because it is an excellent destination and there are a number of excellent properties that does not automatically mean that there is a need to spend a ton of money on the rent. After all, if you can get an excellent deal and a great discount then why would you not take advantage such an opportunity? Now, it would be criminally inaccurate to assume that one could find deals and discounts haphazardly so here are a few simple tips that may enable you to find a lower cost vacation rental.

One of the most overlooked aspects of vacationing is traveling during an off season period. Let the truth be told, March is simply not a month that people often target as a time to visit Disney World. So, if you wish to avoid all the crowds then March may very well be the best time of the year to travel. In addition to avoiding all those super long lines and the congested traffic of the highways the low season will almost always provide discounted and reduced rates for rental properties. Needless to say, traveling during the off season is one of the absolute best times to travel if you want to save money on rent. Remember, whatever you save on rent invariably can be used for other more fruitful pursuits. So why pay more on rent than you have to?!

Of course, some folks simply will not be able to travel during the off season but this does not mean they can not take advantage of a number of deals. One major way of finding a deal would be to look into the location of the property. If you find a property that is off the beaten path then you may discover that the rental costs will b significantly lower. Of course, finding these areas may take a little research but it will be worth it if the end result is a significant monetary savings.

Yes, that Orlando vacation home rental looks awesome but how do you know that it is a solid worthwhile property? After all, people have been known to rent accommodations that turned out to be less than desirable. So, would it not make sense to double check that the property you are renting is a worthwhile one? While most people would agree that this would be a smart move many simply do not have a notion as to how to go about doing this. That is fine. Here are a couple of tips to help you in this regard.

Probably the best way to make sure you are selecting a solid rental property from a reliable agent would to ask for references. Now, there will be some folks who feel squeamish about such a venture. After all, would it not be rude to be so untrustworthy of the landlord? Folks, come on. Does the renter not ask you for a security deposit and check your credit rating? They don’t do this because they do not trust you. They do this because it makes safe and sound business and they are protecting their assets. So why on earth would you not take the same steps to make sure you do the same?

Another item of contention is making sure you completely understand what you are renting. In other words, what is included in the rental of the home? Don’t assume that because the home has a nice swimming pool and a garage that you will automatically be allowed to use them. Again, double checking would be a smart move and it would save any future disappointment from happening. As the saying goes, to be forearmed is to be forewarned but no one is going to warn you of anything so it is wise to conduct your necessary research on your own. You’ll be glad you did!

Imagine pacing up and down with the feeling that you are boxed in. It would seem claustrophobic and somewhat paranoid. How long have you been in here?

While this would sound like a means of getting a person into the frame of mind for a method acting stint in a prison movie you are really preplanning your trip to Florida. Well, this may be the case if you are planning to stay in a tiny motel room. If you opt to rent a spacious Orlando vacation rental home then you may find yourself in a much better position.

Truth be told, a four bedroom home with a kitchen and living room would be a much more comfortable place to reside rather than a tight motel room. This is why such vacation homes are popular as no one in their right mind would want to be tied down in a room that is simply not comfortable.

Of course, that is not to infer that people will spend the most of their time in their rooms when they are on vacation. However, what needs to be understood is that one does not have to be “locked up” in their rental home for 9 straight hours to start feeling somewhat antsy in a closed environment. In fact, even a few minutes of being boxed in can be somewhat problematic. When one also takes into consideration that a family or four (or more) are in the room then such problems can magnify. So, a larger and more spacious living arrangement would be greatly more preferred and this is why these rentals are as popular as they are. Yes, there may be some additional costs involved with such rentals but with the extra cost comes a variety of amenities so the cost is somewhat understandable.

Orlando is a wonderful and beautiful place and that is a major reason why so many people travel to this city ever year. Of course, no matter how excellent a destination may be there will always be concerns about crime and safety. So, it should come as no surprise that those looking for an Orlando vacation rental would be concerned regarding crime problems that may be occurring. Considering that people travel with their family it is not surprising that they wish to maintain the safety of those who they are traveling with.

Now, let’s get something clear right off the bat: Orlando is hardly a part of the world that is dangerous and the odds of anything happening are very low. Of course, the odds of someone stealing your car are very low as well but you would not leave your car unlocked and the keys left in the ignition. Needless to say, it would not be a bad thing to double check the safety level of any particular neighborhood in the Orlando area.

So how can one check on the levels of safety in an area if they are unfamiliar with how to do so? Well, thanks to the internet one does not have to be Columbo or a person with law enforcement connections to ascertain any safety issues with a particular location. There are a number of sites on the internet these days that can provide detailed information of the subject of crime and safety stats within a particular zip code. Of course, it is also wise to stick with those services that are credible such as stats sources compiled by police departments and universities. Some of the more bombastic reporting agencies should be avoided as their credibility may be in question.

Again, it is always better to stay safe especially when all it takes is a little research to avoid a host of potential problems.
